Based on insights from our earlier brand strategy work, we created a multi-channel campaign called Hot Dog Out Loud. Like-minded consumers were encouraged to share their “guilty pleasure” hot dog stories, which were featured in tactics including digital advertising, radio spots, sport event signage, a micro site, and social media. Rather than heavy-handedly telling consumers they should love hot dogs again, Sugardale instead provided a platform for hot dog-positive conversation to occur naturally, becoming the joyful sponsor of a movement larger than just their brand.
