An idea swap meet

Phewww. Made it through a double wedding weekend and I’m still alive. On to the link o’ the day.

Have you ever had (what you thought was) a really good idea for something, but never got around to acting on it? For example, I always thought they should come out with scoop shaped tortilla chips so you could get more dip on them. Low and behold, a few years back they did, and I lost out on millions by not beating them to the punch. *Stupid.

Or this other idea I have for windows that have water between the two panes; lets in light, and if you want privacy, have an air pump that will blow bubbles, like a fish tank. You could even color the water if you wanted. Of course someone came along and burst that bubble by suggesting that the water would freeze (fine! glycerine then!) but regardless, I’ll probably never get around to doing anything with this.

Enter Borgger, a site that is self-described as “an idea swap meet.” People post their random thoughts, ideas and dreams on the site, and others can collaborate to suggest ways to achieve results. I only had a few minutes to check it out, but so far it looks really promising. I mean there are some really cool, viable ideas presented on the site–from ways to lower student loan repayment costs to a proposal for building cheap, eco-friendly stoves.

If you have time, definitely try to check it out. [Borgger]
